SEMCIL staff are here to help and are continuing to provide services during the COVID-19 pandemic. We remain committed to our mission and are here for you.
Recommendations are changing daily and we continue to monitor updates from Governor Walz, the MN Department of Health, and other agencies. As such, we are committed to maintaining a safe work environment for our staff. Effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020, SEMCIL closed to the public. Please note though that many of our staff are already working from home and are continuing to provide services in an alternate format, including video conferencing.
There are DSPs who are continuing to provide PCA services. PCA recipients that are in need of food but don’t have access to their DSP’s can reach out, as SEMCIL staff are working together to creatively provide supports to those who are unable to leave their home.
At this time, our Assistive Technology Lab is still available and we are assessing individuals needs on a case by case basis. If there is a service that we are unable to provide at this time, a wait list has been put into effect. Our Access Program continues to provide over the phone consultations and video conferencing to answer questions about accessibility.
If there is anything that you need or if you have question SEMCIL staff are here to assist. We can be reached at 507-285-1815 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
